# Pokémon x Beats Pill Reveals Pikachu and Mimikyu: Special-Edition Speaker Ships October 15 at $149.99

When The Pokémon Company International and Beats joined forces for a limited-edition speaker, the design bet was on contrast rather than a single mascot. The special-edition Pokémon x Beats Pill goes on sale October 15, 2026, and splits its visual identity between two fan favorites: Pikachu on one side and Mimikyu on the other.

The reveal arrived alongside an official press release and campaign film dated October 13, 2026, from Los Angeles, and the finished product is now listed on Apple’s store. Priced at $149.99 in the United States — the same as a standard Pill — the collaboration is framed as a design upgrade rather than a price premium, leaving buyers to decide purely on the artwork and collectible touches.

The speaker’s grille displays both characters. Pikachu is rendered in an “Electric Yellow” palette on the front, complete with red cheeks and protruding lightning bolts finished with chrome accents, while the rear resolves into Mimikyu in a muted “Shadow Gray” tone. According to Beats, this marks the first time the company has fitted a Pill with detachable charms: a set on the front pairs the classic Poké Ball, the Beats “b” logotype, and a pair of lightning bolts. A color-matched removable lanyard carries an additional Beats × Pokémon charm, and the box adds a sheet of special-edition Beats × Pokémon stickers.

The packaging mirrors the two-tone concept. One panel pops with Pikachu’s yellow, the opposite side fades into Mimikyu’s grayscale palette, and each Pokémon’s ears appear to poke through the top of the box.

Beneath the artwork sits the conventional Pill hardware. Beats specifies up to 24 hours of battery life and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, positioning the speaker for home, gym, beach, or pool use. A soft-grip silicone backing keeps it planted, while two-way USB-C support lets it both losslessly stream audio and charge a compatible phone. Owners can link two units together via Stereo or Amplify modes, and the speaker works with Apple’s Find My as well as Android devices.

Availability is broadly North American and routed through standard retail channels. The speaker launches October 15, 2026, through Apple and Target, with additional select retailers carrying it both in stores and online. Not every region is covered — Beats’ collaboration page does not list Brazil among its launch markets.

## Why It Matters

Pokémon has turned the Beats Pill into a collector’s object rather than a plain accessory. By pairing the franchise’s brightest icon with one of its most enigmatic regular-cast members, the design offers two moods in a single device, and the addition of charms — a first for the Pill line — pushes it firmly into limited-edition territory. At a price that matches the ordinary model, the appeal rests entirely on how well the two brands’ aesthetics land, which early hands-on coverage from outlets including 9to5Mac and Tom’s Guide suggests they do. For The Pokémon Company, it is another signal that its licensing reach now extends well beyond cards and games into everyday consumer electronics.
